Feedback and Thoughts On Character

In the presentation, I showed zuleika and Richard all my discoveries and attempts so far. I explained to them that my direction was to create a character, and Richard was very interested in the Chinese legend about the Chinese ghost that I mentioned. This also inspired me. Could I make a charactor similar to the direction of ghosts and gods, and slowly form a character that everyone agrees on, similar to the Chinese fortune cat. Chinese people know it is a symbol of wealth and luck, so people will not be hostile to this character. In this way it will be close to Chinese culture, but also become popular as a trend, so that people will become accustomed to it, which will lead to a better understanding of Bipolar Disorder and reduce discrimination and prejudice.
Zuleika asked me if I have asked an expert, but I haven’t yet, because my research is more about giving a voice to people with bipolar disorder, so I’ve been asking for an expert so far. So I’ve been asking a lot of bipolar people so far.

After presentation, I started to think about the direction of Chinese ghost. It is true that the theory of ghosts and gods is very popular in China. However, after I looked up some information, I realised that the history of these classic and well-known ghosts and deities, such as the New Year’s beast, the God of Death, the Fortune Cat, etc., goes back to hundreds and thousands of years ago. People have passed them down from mouth to mouth, so much so that today these ghosts and gods have become very classic. So if I create a character about bipolar disorder connected to chinses ghost, it won’t work in a short period of time. This IDEA won’t work.

I should look for other visual means to present bipolar disorder.
